Zombie Tree Car?
About a year ago, a blue minivan was abandoned in a Chengdu parking lot; today, it is the 'zombie tree car,' which has been thoroughly invaded by nearby shrubs, and (of course) gone viral on Weibo. After garnering a bit too much attention, the minivan was hauled away by tow-truck, and one really would have expected the towers to do a better job removing all of those shrubs (see below).

Shark Swallowing Another Shark?
A shark has been caught on camera making a meal of another shark along Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Released earlier this month, the pictures show a tasseled wobbegong halfway through swallowing a brownbanded bamboo shark.
Daniela Ceccarelli and David Williamson, from Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies, chanced on the spectacle while conducting a fish census on the fringing reef off Great Keppel Island.

A Daring Mouthful?
Zoo performer Theerapone Manolai smiles as he puts his head between the jaws of a crocodile during a performance for tourists at the Sriracha Tiger Zoo, about 120 km (74 miles) east of Bangkok August 16, 2011. Kanthida Jantanct and Theerapone, both 28, from the province of Chaiyaphum, who have been crocodile performers at the zoo for almost ten years, earn at least 30,000 Baht (1,000 USD) per month for performing shows for at least 2,000 tourists, three times a day, to support their family. Too Much Bling On This Camaro?
To paraphrase Rene Magritte, this is not a car. Yes, it is a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 convertible, and it has an engine which can turn those 30-inch Forgiato gold saucers into forward motion. But the transformation by a Tampa tuning shop into what it calls the King ZL1 has placed the Camaro into the kind of debate heard around avant-garde galleries: Is it a piece of art, or a piece of garbage?
Built and shown by 813 Customs, the King ZL1 follows a similar effort on a less-powerful King Camaro unveiled earlier this year. Both required a near-complete teardown and reassembly, with bespoke fiberglass dash and door pieces to handle a Radio Shack's worth of speakers and monitors, including the three 23-inch TVs that pop up from the back seat.
The outside gets a gold-chrome vinyl wrap, and the 6.2-liter V-8 also gets a brace of upgrades, such as a Whipple supercharger, that can never be used in anger thanks to custom-painted 30-inch Forgiato Maschili wheels that make the Camaro like Lolo Jones running hurdles in spike heels.
The Justin Beiber Love Doll?
Justin Bieber has unofficially received his very own blow-up sex doll, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry. If you can’t have the real thing, then the manufacturer is hoping you’ll settle for something vaguely similar.
Created by the opportunistic folks over at Pipedream, the Justin Bieber sex doll, lovingly dubbed Just-In Beaver, is equipped to please both male and female fans. Interested parties can expect to drop around $26 for the Justin Bieber mock-up. Considering the doll is unlicensed, chances are it won’t be available to the public for very long.
Real or Fake?
This is a real photo of the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, the tropical storm that hit the USA. Sea water floods the Ground Zero construction site, Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, in New York
There are many fakes circulating around the internet but to help weed out the fakes from the real thing, check out the Tumblr blog Is Twitter Wrong? which is doing a fine job of rounding up fake images.
New Russian Sport?
We guess with all that rain those russian cities get annually, a new sport was invented? Those crazy Russians... you gotta love 'em!
Cookie Monster Perhaps?
Anyone Else Think This Looks Like Cookie Monster?
NASA image acquired August 29, 2012
Ok, so maybe it's just me. But the superposition of younger craters on older craters (in this case two smaller craters upon the rim of an older crater) can result in landforms that appear to resemble more familiar shapes to human eyes. More generally, the Law of Superposition allows scientists to determine which surface features pre- and postdate others, leading to a better understanding of the geological history of different regions of Mercury's surface.
This image was acquired as a high-resolution targeted observation. Targeted observations are images of a small area on Mercury's surface at resolutions much higher than the 200-meter/pixel morphology base map. It is not possible to cover all of Mercury's surface at this high resolution, but typically several areas of high scientific interest are imaged in this mode each week.
The MESSENGER spacecraft is the first ever to orbit the planet Mercury, and the spacecraft's seven scientific instruments and radio science investigation are unraveling the history and evolution of the Solar System's innermost planet. Visit the Why Mercury? section of this website to learn more about the key science questions that the MESSENGER mission is addressing. During the one-year primary mission, MESSENGER acquired 88,746 images and extensive other data sets. MESSENGER is now in a yearlong extended mission, during which plans call for the acquisition of more than 80,000 additional images to support MESSENGER's science goals.

The first shots from the set of "Avengers 2" are in, and wow ... is that a bold new direction for the Hulk, or what?
Wait, no. That's not right. (In more ways than one.) The photo above — unretouched is from the Arnold Classic Europe, a fitness expo/competition held this past weekend and started by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. The Governator, as you may know, got his start in bodybuilding, and he's always preached fitness and exercise, even in its most bizarre versions.
So, uh, without being too indiscreet: just what the heck happened here? Well, bodybuilders tend to apply tanning product with a trowel, darkening their skin in an effort to enhance definition of all those muscles that the rest of us probably don't even have. Sure, it looks fairly ridiculous, but we're not going to tell him that.
The Scariest Shoes ever?
We've seen many ugly shoes in our day, but a new pair dubbed "Scary Beautiful" is definitely the most treacherous footwear we've ever seen. The massive heels appear backwards on the foot, so the wearers feet point straight down the back, as if in ballet shoes, with their shin leaning against the front "heel" end of the design to balance. The shoes are a collaboration between artist Leanie van der Vyver and Dutch shoe designer René van den Berg, and serve as a commentary on today's impossible standards of beauty.
It's a plane... it's a Ferrari... no it's a bike?
|It sure looks like a Ferrari special edition|
|650 hp? Try 2 hp* (*human power)|
Fahrradi Farfalla FFX could just be the world's slowest supercar
Look quickly at the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX and you might mistake it for a limited edition Ferrari.
Scan a little more closely, though, and you'll notice the thin, hollow wheels and barren interior.
Something is certainly amiss, and it's because the FFX isn't one of the world's most exotic supercars. It's one of the world's most exotic bicycles.

Fed up neighbours put boy racer's car up a tree
Filo, 24, awoke to find his car missing, later locating it on top of a huge willow tree in Lubczyna, Poland.
Locals have maintained a code of silence over who was responsible for the prank or how indeed the white Ford Escort ended up 20ft in the air, though one villager revealed that a crane had been borrowed for the night.
Police spokesman Marta Pierko said: 'We received a call from a man saying his car was stuck in a tree, and that his neighbours had put it there.
'After inspecting the site we instructed him to remove it from the tree.'
Boat ploughs into Florida bungalow after separating from tow truck
The cabin cruiser was being towed by a truck across Lehigh Acres in the southern part of the state when it became unattached and sailed across the property's front garden before crashing into the top half of the building.
Tens of thousands pounds worth of damage was caused in the collision, although the householder was not home at the time.
Local resident Charlie Robbins, 47, said that a neighbour heard what she thought was an 'explosion' and was visibly shaken by the incident.
Relaxed kangaroo chills out in the sunshine
The laid back marsupial looks as if it doesn't have a care in the world while being snapped lying on the ground at Suzhou Zoo in Jiangsu Province, China.Resting steadily on its elbow, the relaxed kangaroo looked worn out after a day hopping around the popular Chinese animal sanctuary.
The animal wouldn't look out of place watching TV with a beer on a sofa, although it appears to have little trouble getting comfy on the hard ground. With its eyes closed in a sleepy slumber, perhaps the furry hopper is thinking of its native Australian home.
